Let's work together to ensure the safety of our community's children!
Important Safety Tips
Give Space: School buses need extra room for wide turns and sudden stops.
Stay Clear: Avoid blocking bus lanes or creating obstacles in their path.
Drive Safely: Respect bus operations to help prevent accidents and keep traffic moving smoothly.
Know Pennsylvania’s School Bus Stopping Law
STOPÂ when you meet or overtake a stopped school bus with red lights flashing and the stop arm activated.
SLOW DOWNÂ when approaching a bus with flashing amber lights and be prepared to stop.
STOPÂ at least 10 feet away from a stopped school bus.
WAITÂ until the red lights stop flashing, the stop arm is withdrawn, and all children have reached safety before moving.
🚨 REMEMBER: Violating these laws can result in significant penalties and, more importantly, endanger lives.
Together, we can keep our roads safe for kids and drivers! 🚸
