Total Solar Eclipse Viewing - April 8, 2024

Join the Chester Springs Library for an eclipse party! There will be viewing glasses, lawn games, and equipment available for you to test out the new disc golf course. The eclipse will be at its maximum point of totality at 3:23pm, but feel free to come whenever between 2:45pm and 4pm to celebrate this rare celestial phenomenon!

What is a total solar eclipse? This occurs when the moon is completely blocking our view of the moon. It can take hundreds of years for a total solar eclipse to occur in the same place on Earth twice.

Be safe: Chester Springs Library will provide certified eclipse viewing glasses at the event. Unless the solar eclipse is at totality, you should never look directly at the sun without these special glasses.

This event will take place at Pine Creek Park. 1488 Yellow Springs Rd, Chester Springs
