Bird Watching - May 24, 2025, at 8am

Bird watching is a healthy, enjoyable, and affordable hobby. A variety of colorful birds either nest in our area or can be observed migrating through this region at this time of year. Join Glenn Wenger, a 40-year resident of West Pikeland and a member of our Environmental Advisory Council, for a morning bird walk from 8am to 10am at Pickering Grove Park (Miss Betty’s Day Camp), Pike Springs Rd., Chester Springs. If possible, but not required, bring binoculars, a bird identification guide, and download the Merlin Bird ID or Audubon Bird Guide app. Wear sturdy hiking or walking shoes.

Creating Plant and Vegetable Gardens - June 2, 2025, at 10:30am

Join Glenn Wenger, a long-time resident of 40 years of West Pikeland and a member of our Environmental Advisory Council, at his home to explore and learn about establishing your own gardens. We'll gather at 10:30am at the Chester Springs library for a short presentation, followed by a 5-minute drive to his residence at 924 Meadowcreek Rd., Chester Springs.
