From Historic Yellow Springs:
And now, the moment we've all been waiting patiently for! Since the initial tree fall, and the subsequent sever storm in July, we have been working diligently toward this moment. Construction has begun to resurrect the Yeaworth House.
Thanks to Chester Springs Library for completing their contents removal, as we knew things were about to get messy. This extensive project will strengthen the roof structure, bringing the damaged portion up to modern code, and apply a new roof over the entire building. We are excited to see and share the progress over the coming weeks.
Additionally, this is the last week for our towering Sycamores that lord over that portion of the campus. Despite our best efforts to maintain their awesome canopies, mother nature has proven to get the best of them, and we will be removing them on Wednesday November 24th.
New plantings will follow soon after, and we look forward to experiencing the new look for this portion of the campus.
