Winter Storm Watch Advisory – Chester Springs Area

Attention Residents: The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Chester Springs area for this upcoming weekend, beginning late Saturday night into Sunday due to the potential for significant snowfall and hazardous travel conditions (NWS forecasts).

Snowfall Expectations: Current forecast models indicate that snow could begin late Saturday night and continue through Sunday, with preliminary snowfall accumulation estimates in the general range of 6 to 12 inches across our area — though totals may vary depending on the exact storm track and wintry mix that develops.

What This Means for You:

  • Both PennDOT and our Township Public Works crews will be out plowing and treating roadways as conditions allow.

  • Residents are strongly encouraged to stay home during the storm unless travel is absolutely necessary.

  • Safety is paramount — limiting travel helps keep you safe and allows our road crews to operate equipment safely and get needed rest to continue working throughout the event.

Please Note:

  • Road conditions may be snow-covered, slick, and hazardous at times.

  • Crews will be working continuously, weather permitting, to keep major and secondary roads passable.

  • To notify the township of an emergency, please contact Manager Joe Romano 484-986-7655.

In Closing: Both PennDOT and our Public Works teams, supported by our Township Police and State Police, will be actively on duty throughout the storm. Roads will be cleared as safely and as time & conditions permit. Please monitor local weather updates and township communications for the latest information.
